The second Huawei brand launches a smartphone with the front camera hidden and the back 48 megapixels for 549 euros

Honor, despite being the second Huawei brand , does not want to resign itself to being a second in the mobile world. The Chinese manufacturer presented today in Paris the Honor View20, which is obvious to present a hole in the screen used to hide his front camera, replacing the notch or tab that made Apple fashionable with his iPhone X. His other great achievement is the main rear camera, which makes it the first mobile that scales up to 48 megapixels, which is handled by artificial intelligence and a Kirin 980 superprocessor, the most powerful of the brand.

With this new flagship, Honor leaves the mid-range where it had moved so far in the shadow of Huawei, as proof that the Honor View20 comes out at a price of 549 euros (699 euros the top model), well above the band between 200 and 450 euros in which the models of the Asian firm have been moved ( the Honor View 10 cost 499 euros ), although it maintains the distances (300 euros less) on its older brothers Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro .

Honor wants to shore up its avant-garde design fame by incorporating a 4.5-millimeter hole in the left-hand side of its borderless screen where it hides its 25-megapixel front camera. 3D camera

After the design, the main novelty of the new Honor is its 48 megapixel camera provided by Sony, which not only has more pixels than any other mobile device on the market but also incorporates a 3D TOF ( Time of Flight or Flight Time) sensor , which composes a three-dimensional image capturing the movement by pulses of light. This camera converts Honor View20 into a video game console capable of capturing the movement thus allowing the ability to play in 3D format.

The 3D camera of the HONOR View20 is able to identify up to 100 types of food and provide caloric information about it, up to 300 reference points and 100,000 works of art from around the world.

To move this camera, is equipped with the Kirin 980 processor, the same as the Mate 20, which processes the photo using an algorithm powered by artificial intelligence, which better profile the details in black and the colors are adjusted in such a way that they seem more alive . With liquid cooling system is 75% more powerful than the 970 in CPU, 46% in GPU and up to 120% in AI.

It also has a triple antenna with Wi-Fi technology that means that the coverage is not reduced when the user places his hand on the receiver. It also has a 4,000 mAh battery, with fast supercharging system, accompanied by 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB / 256 GB of internal storage that can be expanded by nanoSD cards.

Colors and price

Honor View20 comes in four colors: midnight black, sapphire blue, and blue and ghost red, the latter two designed by the iconic Italian luxury brand Moschino. In Spain, the terminal will be available today at Honor's online store (hihonor.es) and at MediaMarkt, Phone House, Fnac and El Corte Inglés at a price of 549 euros in its 6GB + 128GB version, and at 699 euros its 8GB + 256GB version. Also, buying the terminal in the online stores, will arrive with the Honor Watch Magic as a gift, the new smartwatch of the brand, whose original price is 179.9 euros.

For its part, the operator Yoigo will give the Honor Band 4 to purchase the version of 6GB + 128BG from day 22, and the online portals of Amazon and PC Components will give away a protective case for the purchase of the new terminal.
